San Diego All-Stars Coaches
San Diego All-Stars Basketball Association invites only qualified and experienced coaches to lead our SDA teams. Our coaches have a sound knowledge of basketball, along with a true love of the game. For SDA coaches, the players will always come first.
Coach Marshawn Cherry Marshawn Cherry President, Athletic Director;
Coach		 Marshawn Cherry, the President and Athletic Director of San Diego All-Stars, founded the San Diego All-Stars in 2001 and has more than 18 years as a basketball coach with high school, travel and community league teams. Marshawn is also the Associate Head Coach at Mission Bay High School.
Coach Stacy Dooley Stacy Dooley Coach,
Dir. of Player Development		 Stacy Dooley, our Director of Player Development, has 16 years of coaching and community involvement in the San Diego community. Coach Dooley served as assistant varsity coach at San Diego High School from 2004 -2005 and has coached numerous 14U to 16U youth basketball teams. Coach Dooley has been involved with San Diego All-Stars basketball since 2003 and focuses on player skills development and athletic conditioning.

Coach Len Parham Len Parham Coach Len Parham has been involved with San Diego youth basketball for many years and was co-founder of the San Diego All-Stars with Marshawn Cherry in 2001. Len Parham is the Assistant Varsity Coach at Mission Bay High School.

Coach Micah Smurthwaite Micah Smurthwaite Coach A former manager at BYU, Micah Smurthwaite was responsible for game film preparation, self scouting, and basketball operations. During off-seasons Micah was on the coaching staff of summer basketball clinics at UCLA, USC, Stanford, UC Berkeley, ASU, Utah, and USF. With experience at the D-1 level, Micah excels in instructing fundamentals and preparing youth players for the next level.
